Friend wants to get a tourist visa for Thailand in Penang, but i heard from a friend that the embassy in Penang have stopped doing them?? is that correct?? what about kota Bhuru?? cheers

A real tourist visa can be obtained in Penang but you require a ticket out of Thailand and proof of accommodations. KL would be better if has been in area for an extended time. Vientiane is currently the best location.

Thanks, they have their tickets out of Thailand and have my address here in Thailand. How long is a tourist visa?? 2 or 3 months?? i don't have a clue..

It can allow a stay of 30 or 60 days (depending on nationality) that can be extended for another 30 days.
