anonymouse
A quick question, Haven't obtained my visa from Hull for a couple of years, if I remember correctly they need a copy of my marriage cert but I can't remember - does it have to be translated and notarised or is a copy of the Thai original sufficent? Thanks Steve
Governor
They didn't ask me for a marriage certificate last year, though I had told them I intended to retire there so that may have made a difference.
Big A
Just off the phone to Hull (Tuesday 26th February) and was told to apply for a Non Immigrant 'O' Multiple, all you need is a PHOTOCOPY OF YOUR THAI MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE (ENGLISH TRANSLATION NOT REQUIRED)
torrenova
Visiting friends / long holiday / etc. is enough.
Big A
From all the comments I've read about Hull, if you send'em a **** in the post, you'll get a Multi entry visa!!! Joking apart, they were very friendly and helpful on the phone. I'm off there in the summer to get another Non O multi.
gzu88bv
Specific Question: With regard to said Multiple Non-O-Visa and posts of Big A and torrenova would OP not have to declare his purpose of visit as “Visit Wife” and not as Visit Friends or Long Stay, or is this rather unimportant when applying? At the Hull consulate "Visiting Friends"would be enough. However as the OP is Visiting his Wife he would use that as that is an even better reason. Strange that when you say that you are visiting friends, they do not ask for any documentation, but if you say you are visiting your wife, they require a copy of marriage cert? They trust that you friends there you are visiting, but want proof that you have a wife. Edited February 27, 2008 by jstumbo
