I was laughing the whole time because it wouldn't be uncommon to see something like this in the LOS. I hope the guy is alright though. What the hel_l were these guys thinking? Yeah that's really gonna alert the general public - NOT!!! Never heard of sealing off the area and protecting the local community??? If you wanna pick up bombs with your bare hands -fine - but to transport it with NO indication of the threat (apart from your hazard lights.....), endangers OTHERS lives. TOTALLY GOBSMACKED! I'm just curious as to why there isn't some kind of standard operating procedure to deal with situations like this. Thailand gets its fair share of bombs. You would think that they would at least know what a bomb can do. Putting a tire around it and poking it with a stick is comical. What did they think would happen? Gotta give them some credit though...it looks like they did a good job of choosing the dumbest cop of the bunch to do the actual dirty work. There always seems to be a few borderline-retarded policeman around on the few occasions I have had to visit the local police station. Guess they get in cause they are related to the right people. Imagine how the same bunch of untrained incompetents approach a murder scene. It is no wonder you get educated and dedicated Thais like Khunying Pornthip completely exasperated by the incompetence of the police. Did you see at the end he seems to have wrapped it in a small cloth just before he idiotically chucks the thing. How would that help? What a bunch of clowns.
