Hi,

I'm a little bit confused with these new visa rules so i would appreciate if someone can help me.

The thing is that I got a tourist visa with 3 entries from my home country last year and I have planned to do like this:

Arrival in September 2007

60 days in Thailand + 30 days (Imm. Office)

->visarun to Cambodia (in December 07)

60 days in Thailand

->visarun to Cambodia (in February 08)

60 days in Thailand + 30 days (Imm. Office)

So the question is that is it possible for me to go anymore to Cambodia after my tourist visa is expired or should I go to Laos instead. My last Immigration extension will be expired about 5/15/08. I will fly to my home country 6/14/08 but want to come back to Thailand in July with a new 3 entry tourist visa. I understand if I'll do this third visarun to Cambodia in May I have to be away from Thailand 180 days after that. Am I right?

Many thanks in advance…

The only entry that counts against the 90 days in six month rule is visa exempt (30 day border stamps). You do not seem to be using any of those.

But we need to know the validity of your visa (3 or 6 months?). Your last entry must be while the visa is still valid for entry.

If you need an extra 30 day entry at the end of your last 30 day extension you cross a border/enter other country and return. You should have a ticket out of Thailand within 30 days that time.

Hi,

The validity of my tourist visa is 6 months (issued in September 2007 - enter before March 2008). In February i used my last entry so in April i have to go Imm. Office again. So if i have a flyticket at the Cambodia border in May. I will get an extra 30 days on arrival and i don't need to worry about getting a new tourist visa again in my home country?

Thanks lopburi3

Just note that 5/15-6/14 is counted as 31 days. So you would need to not come back into Thailand until 5/16 or get a 7 day extension of stay from immigration near the end of your 30 days.

Depending on what you home country is, you would be limited to 90 days in Thailand in a six month period using visa exempt entries for 30 days at a time. You would need to get a visa after that to remain. Whether you get it in your home country or a local consulate is up to you.

All of this is also contingent on your home country being one that you can get a 30 day visa exempt entry.
