okay I have read a ton of posts but could not find a clear anwser regarding 1st 30 day renewal clarification inside thailand.

39 canadian entered thailand on 1st 30 day visa exempt jan 20th

went to kota bharu, malaysia to get a double entry tourist visa on feb 13th

stamp says "admitted untill april 12th" and "enter before may 12, 2008"

is it possible to get my 30 day extension early and not have that change the amount of time i am alotted?

60 days + 30 day extension after that or does the 30 day extension start when i get it? its just a matter of convenience for me as to why i was wanting to apply early and get out of the way.

On week early is normally OK and the start time will be the end of your current permitted to stay stamp so you lose nothing.

thanks lopburi3, so are you saying that immigration could give me problems if i try to get the 30 day extension 5 weeks before i need to? which was really what i wanted to know thanks.
