March 7, 200818 yr hi, just a short question. i enterd tahiland on 25.02 with an TR visaissued in KL,but at the airport i told the lady i dont want to use the visa, and enterd with a 30 day stamp exp. on 22.02,no problem. now i have a ticket out of thailand on 10.04.2008, and i dont want to use the visaTR !!! i want to go to hatlek next week to go outside to cambodia and return to thailand with a 300 day stamp without using this TR visa. is there aproblem when i tell the officer i dont want to use the TR visa and want to get an 30 day stamp?? my 90 days per 6 month is not full on visa ex. stamps( 30 days) last question when i return to thailand i get a new passport and the visa stay in the old passport,,, when i go on 10.04 and after come back by air,, i have the old passport with visa and a new one without, its k to enter on the TR visa???? i just do this,, bcs after i have a clean passport,,normaly now i would make 10 day overstay but then when i leave i have the overstay stamp in new passport what i no want, thats why i make a borderrun. in the last year i always done a visa first , but not enterd with it, first i make 2 x30day stamps and than i use the visa,, because in case of rule change i still have time to react, and in case of refusing visa on embassy i still can enter thailand.. but i always come via airport , this time first time i go to a landboarder since 18 month. thanks
March 7, 200818 yr It will be up to officer if they will allow the 30 day visa exempt stamp but as you already know they usually do - doing at a land border will probably not make a difference.
March 7, 200818 yr Author thanks for the quickreply,,,, i hope so..! i think when i go to the boarder,,,before i leave i just ask the officer in charge about this. cs if cant enter i make overstay for a week, bcs dont want to use the visa now thanks
