Lioneric Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 Kofi Anna is going back to his homeland to plant coffee and we Asia countries will be the next secretary General and foreign minister Mr Surakit will be the next one who fill the post. 1)What Thailand do to stop terrorist in the world or just another puppet for America to attack more countries,to create more terrorist. 2)Will TRT have greater benefit to his business empire

Hmmmm yeah ... well he knows what he's saying. The fact is that Prime Minister Thaksin intends to nominate Dr Surakiat for the post, but it is by no means certain that he would be selected for the position. The UN Secretariate is hardly a bastion of commerciality.
Darth Bangkok Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 Dr. Surakiat is currently the foreign minister. is this correct? he is already going around campaigning for the job (although it is another 2 years before Koffi's term is up) based on human rights and other such things. human rights - 2,000 extra-judicial killings. no passports for Thai's who have been living in the mountains of northen thailand for 10,000 years, picking up foreigners off the streets and dumping them in cambodia whenever foreign dignitaries visit bangkok, closing schools and telling people to go on vacations whenever foreign dignitaries visit, the list goes on... foreign minister - lying about the Bird Flu for all the world to see, etc. if he's so good, let him fix thailand first. toxin would just like more free press. he probably thinks its a way to boost tourism or increase foreign donations, ahem, investment.
dr_Pat_Pong Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 Move it to the Bearpit if you want to persist with the line. And yes...Surakiat is the Foreign Minister. You seem politically astute.
Ice Treasure Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 I thought it was a joke... LOL Thailand and Human Rights are actually mutually exclusive.
