Hmmmm yeah ... well he knows what he's saying. The fact is that Prime Minister Thaksin intends to nominate Dr Surakiat for the post, but it is by no means certain that he would be selected for the position. The UN Secretariate is hardly a bastion of commerciality.

Dr. Surakiat is currently the foreign minister. is this correct? he is already going around campaigning for the job (although it is another 2 years before Koffi's term is up) based on human rights and other such things.
