Quick Question About 90 Day Report

Featured Replies

I had a retirement visa valid until October this year and my next 90 day report to Pattaya immigation was due on 18th of this month.

I have since changed back to a non Imm B as I have been offered a job and the work permit application is being processed.

Do I still need to do the 90 day report under the old visa or does the 90 day period start again from the date I came back into Thailand with the non Imm B?

I think I know the answer but tripped up before on a late 90 day report and don't want another fine and naughty boy stamp in my passport!

Thanks.

What is important is not the visa but the re-entry into Thailand. Clock always starts at day 1 on entry (TM.6). Your 90 day report is due 90 days from entry.

Thank you for your prompt and helpful advice as usual.

Since posting my query I have received a call to say that I can collect my work permit tomorrow so it will be celebration time tomorrow night.

Whilst on that subject, can I convert my non Imm B to a business visa to avoid having to do 90 day visa runs?

The non immigrant B is the business visa. Perhaps you are asking about one year extensions of stay? You will have to meet the financial conditions for your nationality and the company paperwork requirements for that.
