To anyone who can help.

I'm a UK national with a non immig B at the moment. This will come to an end when I take redundancy and I'll have 7 days to leave the country.

I need to get 60 day tourist visa in the short term to get back in and job hunt.

Can anyone give me a steer on their experiences with gettting the 60 day tourist visa in either Phnom Pen or Vientianne?

Do the Thai consulates there offer them, or they catering more for the back packers on a 30 dayers?

Would I be better off going to Penang or Singapore?

Many thanks in advance

If you are here on a 90 day visa entry loss of employment does not effect that. If you are on a one year extension of stay it ends at the end of employment (no 7 day grace period from recent reporting). You can obtain a 7 day extension of stay.

For a tourist visa Vientiane is currently the best choice by far. They will even issue a 2 entry visa if you request it on your application form.

Thx Lopburi - Vientianne it is then. I've heard I can get 2,3 and even 4 entry visas...

Is this the case or is 2 the maximum?

avoid Cambodia for any Thailand visa at all cost!

Appreciated! Lao is more chilled out and I've heard nightmares about the Phnom Pen consulate
