you can go to the university here in Bangkok where they are associated with (can't remember the name, anyone?). They have a shop and sell a nice book, quite a nice read....

Chiang Mai also has an excellent Royal Projects shop near CMU, selling rarely-seen veggies like swedes, at low prices ! And the ice-cream is excellent & good-value too !! :o
