This role entailed resolving all hardware issues for the entire MPS within London. This was ranging from printers, base units, network connectivity, network cards, hard drives and system boards. The role was field based and out of hours support was also required. Rebuilds and user administration was needed at times.

Feb 2006 - Sept 2006: - Support Analyst </H2>Entailed providing support to entire MPS within London via the service desk. Duties involved creating, amending user accounts. The call logging system used was Remedy and the environment was Windows 2000/Windows XP. Requests and fixes ranged from MS Outlook, Printers network connectivity and data collating.

Providing lotus notes administration for end users. Resolving calls to conclusion. Assisting with general helpdesk duties. Third party call logging system was required to log and record calls.

Different roles included trade floor support, 2nd/3rd line support, application testing, server administrator and hardware repair technician. Installed, configured, and administered a Windows 2000 network. Duties included: adding/configuring workstations, setting up user accounts, installing software patches, setting up/administering router and firewall, and researching the latest security issues. Worked as a Team Leader on a HSBC Corporate nationwide XP migration project. Client sites worked at: RBS Corporate, FSA, Merrill Lynch, BNP Paribas, Cazenove, MCI, Deutsche Bank, Metropolitan Police, Marsh and McLennan, T-Mobile, ITV, Freemantle Media, British Rail, British Telecom and HSBC Corporate.

Mar 2002-Sept 2002: - E2K Project Engineer/Trade Support

Position entailed migrating 7000 employees from HP Open mail to Outlook 2000 via SMS and also providing trade floor/desktop support. Audits performed on users' PC's/laptops to determine whether additional software (IE 4.0, IE 4.0 patch, Mapi drivers) was needed to install Outlook 2000.Software was installed remotely by running batch files and using Norton Remote Desktop. After completion of migration, was responsible for importing contacts and attaching PST. Converted CCA's to PST on HP Open mail using Transcend. Supported Reuters and Bloomberg desktop applications. Developed scripts to assure that customer issues met their "Service Level Agreement" as agreed upon in their maintenance contracts. Tested software and reported bugs to development in a timely and accurate manner in order to improve customer service. Created and distributed FAQs on a weekly basis in order to directly increase the knowledge base within the group

Nortel chassis were installed and configured on different floors. Chassis were configured and tested before approval was given. Diagnosed and repaired any problems such as connectivity or battery failures. Responsible for attaching peripherals.

Jun 2001-Dec 2001: - Technical Support Engineer

Responsible for supporting and upgrading 400 internal executives including directors, managers and team leaders. Carried out De-merger of BT Cellnet and BT networks via attaching appropriate clients to their respected dept using routers, hubs, and switches. Undertook data migration for executive clients using external hard drive (Data book). Built laptops using Norton Ghost to install NT4 and Win2000.

Setup all workstations with SMS and then connected them to the local SMS server drive.

This was required to install applications. Setup and configured RAS for PSTN and ISDN. Third party software was also introduced to laptop builds. Migrated Outlook personal folders, address book and emails. Performed demonstrations on how to use laptops and RAS for executive clients including consent that all relevant data was migrated.
