March 31, 200818 yr - clothes Sometimes - if local or locally made international brand. High-end business suits cheaper in SIN- food usually but not always. High-end international sometimes cheaper in SIN. - medicine, and medical care Prices at the Bumm starting to approach or exceed SIN but the following are not cheaper - electronics Very true...but computers/notebooks are competitive but selection more limited. what about? - skincare? Skincare/cosmetics, perfumes all much more expensive in Thailand. - books? About same I would say but selection much more limited. - health supplements? More expensive and limited selection. Vitamins about 2x more expensive.

But have they got a decent swimming pool or a fridge? Last time I was there, mine hadn't.
April 1, 200818 yr No swimming pool or fridge in the Fragrance Hotels. That's the one - Fragrance Hotel Ruby to be precise, though I understand they're all pretty much the same. Whilst the accommodation was cheap and acceptable - the Nana Hotel wins this one easily. Maybe others?
April 1, 200818 yr Yes, the Nana is a better deal, but accomodation in Singapore is MUCH more expensive than Bangkok. A nice, clean hotel in Singapore that is almost the same price as the Nana - even without a swimming pool and fridge - is a GOOD deal.
April 2, 200818 yr Guess its time to go on a, um, er, shopping trip to Geyland (hope its not really spelled GAyland....boy will I be pi$$ed and will come looking for you)
April 2, 200818 yr Author Its Geylang and not Geyland. haha. I'm not into prostitution, but heard you can try orchard towers. Singapore is highly metropolitan.
