March 31, 200818 yr I have a Lexmark X1195 printer and always have problems with the cartridges apparently 'drying up'. I believe this is a common problem as I don't use my printer on a daily basis. IT City have tried to help but always want to sell me new cartridges or new printer. Is this model printer a waste of money (B1500 about) as new cartridges run about B1200. Should I bin this printer and go for another brand or will the same problem occur with minimal use every week? Any suggestions?
March 31, 200818 yr Don't know about that printer but two Epsons I had there was more time/money spent cleaning head/getting ink to flow than using them. Changed to a Canon IP4000 several years ago and no such problems with it.

The software shows that there is ink in both cartridges but i cant print anything either colour or black and white. I am thinking of buying a new printer due to this issue. Cheers, Rick
