appling for mult-O entry visa in usa. do i need to show proof of monthly incom? there is no requset for it on form. if not do i show it when i get to thailand. was told i need show it when i reapply in a year.

You made two posts with completely different information - in your other post you claimed the application requires financial information but in this one you say it did not. I suspect this is the real situation.

Only extensions of stay for family require the 40k per month income so you would do that if you extended your stay for one year at an immigration office - not for the visa to be issued. If you want more information you need to advise what reason are you making application for that type of visa?
