April 3, 200818 yr D80 ....That's a nice camera I am in the same situation, I am a real amateur, and I just bought a Canon EOS 400 (Kiss) fitted with a 18-55 lense, which I completed with a 55 - 200. I am in discovery process ! You made a nice shot, but my feeling is that the bee is not really outstanding. Maybe a bit more centered would help....Just my "amateur"opinion. I guess that some more "specialist" will help better !!
April 3, 200818 yr Welcome to the forum spellboundxy. That's a good effort for a beginner but might I suggest that the colours and exposure are a bit too contrasty. I've attached my modification which may appeal to you. I've desaturated it to address the above problem, and softened it also by applying a severe noise filter. I've also opened up the shadows/background detail to give it a little more depth Keep the shots coming Edited April 3, 200818 yr by The Vulcan
