How To Stay In Thailand For 6 Months?

Dear All

I have been reading the threads in an attempt to find the answers myself before asking questions but could not find anything definitive, so am seeking your valued opinions here.

Nationality: Singapore / Age: 35

Background

Jan 1 - Came to Thailand on 1 month tourist visa;

Jan 28 - Departed Thailand

Feb 4 - Returned to Thailand on another 1 month tourist visa.

Feb 5 - Departed for Singapore.

Feb 14 - Returned to Thailand on Non-Imm 'B' Single Entry visa valid till May 13.

Company will not apply for work permit as quota has been reached.

What I require: to be in Thailand till end July.

I can afford to leave the country every 30 days. I will actually be leaving during the Songkran break and will apply for a multiple entry permit (to 'revalidate' my single entry Non-Imm 'B' visa) at the airport.

This can be done @ the airport right?

Appreciate if you could comment on the following options I have thought about so that I can stay 6 full months:

1. Reapply for another (new) Non-Imm 'B' Single Entry visa when I am back in Singapore

Question: Do you think they will approve another 3-month entry?

2. Reenter Thailand on existing Non-Imm 'B' visa till it expires on May 15.

Following which I will exit on the expiry date and reenter using visa-exempt tourist visas.

Question: I understand that Visa exempt entires are limited to 90 days within 6 months. Do they count the number of days you have stayed in Thailand or the number of entries you have made using this exemption (e.g. Are you limited to 3 trips within 6 months as you are given 30 days on each entry even though you might not have stayed the full 30 days each time?)

When I lived in Los before I knew many people that whet on visa runs every month for years,,,,,and since the gov't was over thorn it changed to the 90 day policy,,,,

my question is now that Taksins puppet gov't is in place will it go back to the old way?

Because it was signed does it mean it was inforced?

It was set to be enforced on the 1st of October; and it was. The law was issued under Taksin; as was 606/2006 which is the current extension of stay laws.
