hi guy's, need to understand what it means ,and if i need one or not .

i am here on a multi entry (3) tv,i so far have used one with an extension of stay (30) which i had for only 6 days ,then a day trip to laos and back activated the 2nd tv on the 12/03/08 until the 10th may.

i now have to go home and sort out a few banking problems and see family ,i will be leaving on the 15th april and returning on the 9th may which leaves one day on my current tv ,so will i have to do a extension of stay or if i have a re-entry permit, do i get back the days i lost on my tv while out of the country? please advise on what i have to do?

When you leave on the 15th your Visa is finished. You will need a new one before you come back.

A re-entry permit only keeps your current permitted to stay until stamp alive. As you say you have a 3 entry visa you can come back on the final entry of 60 days and then extend 30 days. Re-entry permit will only get you a one day stay (if not delayed) and the possibility of extension for 30 days (total cost 2,900 baht) which, if time here is a concern, would be better spent on a new 2 entry tourist visa from Vientiane.
