rough guess if ya looked under bonnet, glove boz, under dashboard etc ya might see a group of relay's togeathere just keep air con on and remove a relay one at a time until it goes off!

now if its got electric windows as well!!!!!!!!!

It's huge, how can you miss it???

About 1 foot in front of the battery is a large black plastic box. Open carefully for inside lie fuses of varying ampage.

Was it really necessary to ask???

Dunno about the D-max but my Ford Ranger has an 'off' position on the air-con controls, most effective :o

In the cabin, at the right side of your dashboard. When you open the driver's door you can see the fuse cover with a slot in it.

you dont have to disconnect the ac, to gain better milliage or power, u just need to have it switched off, open the windows a tad on each side, will help the general airflow, without the use of the AC. removing the AC will give about 2-5hp though....TRUST ME ITS NOT WORTH IT, IN THAILAND< its way to hot to just take it out.

all the fuse boxes is generally under the hood, close to the car battery, if i am correct the brand of battery should be either 3k or GS. so if you dont know where the battery is, looking for the brand label of the battery. at that point, their should be a black, plastic covered box close to it, with a few diagrams of fuses, numbers on it. that is the fuse box. ((IF it is not their, try direct under the steering wheel of your truck, you will have to take the panneling off, their is alot of fuses their to.

In my opinion, dont mess around with the fues if you dont know what your doing completely, you dont want to take out the fues for something else, not to menation by accident brake a fues during the removing of it. some are rather stubbern to remove. so my advice, check your car manual it should tell you, or just go to the show room and ask the enginer to show it to you. (i always dont wait in the lounge of any garage, im always out their, watching, helping if i can, but most importantly, asking and learning something new each time, if not for a car but even for a truck)....thus just becareful.

Thankyou for your time philipm, but can i please point out its nothing to do with fuel economy the reason for removal, the box at the side of the battery is a power supply, you dont want to be messing about in there,petch01 pointed out where it is inside the cabin, ive moved the appropriate fuse and lala,no air conditioning, whilst im away overseas my good lady starts my truck on a regular basis for me,but the father as decided to start giving himself driving lessons in it,my lady told him know but he said yes either way,she doesnt want a fight with her father,so we agree to disconnect the air,so if he does start to take it alittle further he will start to cook, thais are like vampires they hate heat and the sun..theres more than one way to skin a cat as they say....thanks
