Neoguri storm to bring rains to Northeast

BANGKOK: -- The Meteorological Department forecast Wednesday that more rains will fall in the eastern side of northeastern Thailand Thursday because of influence of tropical storm Neoguri.

In its morning forecast, the department said the storm Wednesday centered about 550 kilometers, southeast of Qui-Nhon, Vietnam or latitude 13.0 degree North longitude 114.0 degree East.

The storm is expected to move ashore in Vietnam either Thursday or Friday, causing rainfalls in northeastern provinces of Thailand.

The department also predicted that mercury in Bangkok could rise as high as 38 Celsius degree Wednesday.
