How Much Do You Spend On Toilet Paper A Month?

Recommended Posts

The 'how much do you spend on electricity' and similar threads have got me thinking that perhaps I'm being cheated out of money somehow.

I spend over 100THB a month on toilet paper. Is this reasonable? I would hate the think that I'm just flushing money down the toilet.

No one ever better complain that a posting on ThaiVisa is frivolous after this. Too much drinking or drugs I suspect is at the bottom of this post. I think this topic should be immediately moved to the forum where people brag about how little they live on in Thailand. The only thing worse than reading this post is taking to time to respond to it. Mr. Garro, get a life.

Don't worry Kun Garro. I was told to get a life over complaining about an incident regarding a "unidentified" male in my girlfriend's bedroom. AND YOU get to get a life (presumably new life) over toilet paper. Some people have all the luck.

Oh, I grew up using the Sears & Robuck catalogue, used to save those color pages for last because they were so nice to look at while sitting in the outhouse. Then discovered they are really too slippery to use effectively! A hole (I mean whole) lot of smearing going on!

Indeed. Another good old country boy. Not many left like us. But actually, he should hook up the garden hose (or use the one he's got) & he'll be on the road to financial independance with the money he will save not buying expensive store-bought toilet paper.

What next, garro? Threads about how much we spend on condoms, lube, birth control, viagra?

This guy's way ahead of me. I'm still trying to figure out whether to unplug the refrigerator or not. Maybe someone should suggest a use for all the corncobs they must have going to waste in this fair land. Someone could make some money?

If dried, excellent for wood fuelledcooking ranges.

Dried corn cpbs make excellent fuel for fires in the cold months.....

In Thailand, yeah..... rite..... :o:D

You eat it or what?? :D or are you just full of sh1t :D

The wife only uses a couple squares each movement. She has no hair and I have an afro growing out my rectum. It isn't the money, but the amount of time it takes to clean and in the end, is it really isn't that clean. A few months age I was walking the isles at the market and came across "Nair" hair removal. A treatment every 45 days and practically no clean up.

I would imagine that clumps of old dried faeces falling from your hairy arse during love making must be a bit of a passion killer for your wife. Just as well you discovered the hair remover.

Yeah, do as shepherds do, crutching, shear ya ass to stop daggs hanging on and prevent fly strike whilst having .....boom.. boom.

:o .........PMPL..... :D

I use old copies of the Bangkok Post, cut into squares and hang from a nail in the bathroom. Over the course of a lifetime, this will save approximately 72,356 Thai Baht. Do I win a prize?

I wonder does the word 'tight arse' originate from the fact that these people have wisely discovered that clenching while you rub saves on paper?

OK, since we are getting down and dirty on this topic, I'll share my 'secret'.......

Back in the dirty western world, I used way too much tissue and never got my hairy a** clean. Proof was that i thought that the 'tobacco stains' on my underware were from expelling gas, then comming to Thailand and using the water method [with no paper], The 'tobacco stains' magicly went away......thus proving that paper doesn't clean as well as water.

I'm such a convert that I often bring them as gifts when i return to the states to my friends and have the satisfaction of cleaning many dirty western a**es.....not mention all the trees that I have saved.

This is my kind of thread, toilet humour!

So I add this one:

What can you do with 365 used condoms?

Melt them into a tyre and call it a Goodyear...

Who needs toilet paper with all them Banana leaves about.

In days of old, when knights were bold, paper hadn't been invented.

They wiped there @ss on blades of grass, and walked away contented.

That was then this is now, and in the land of smiles we douche ourselves

From water wells.....It's easier on the piles. :o

Actually a2396 you have only posted a portion of my message to you regarding your relationship(s) plight. I also told you to, "Man Up". Then you should get a life. Yep. That should jog your memory. :o

Well, I've been taught to take one piece of toilet paper, fold it into four and tear off a small piece at one corner. Open it up and put your finger (anyone will do) through the hole and then scrape your XXXX. Then slowly pack the paper around your finger and wipe off any mess. Use the corners of the paper to dig under the nails.

Seriously though, I believe the Thai way of spraying the bum is the best. Then use one piece for drying.

If I wasted my money on poo tickets I wouldn't have the vast wealth I currently enjoy.

Once you trust the bum gun, TP seems so uncivilized. If you had poo on your hands would you wipe it off with a tissue and then carry on with your day; maybe eat a bag of chips later on? I doubt it. I think they should have a bum soaper and a bum buffer too.

Even better with a high fiber diet like the human machine was designed for. All of the excrement goes out quickly and easily with a minimum of residue.

The bum gun is nice if one is at home and there is plenty of time and privacy to get properly cleaned up. But it's never seemed that practical out in public.

Since the day that I tried the bumgun I haven't used toiletpaper again.Except on toilets where there is no gun.I even bought a bumgun to install in my home in europe. The latter actually wasn't such a good idea, especially in wintertime.

Have you ever heard of Gillete? :o

Have you ever tried to shave your arse with a razor? I have not but will give it a try when I take my monthly bath. Will post the results and b4 and after pics here. You lucky people.

Has anybody ever asked you if toilet papers are available in Thailand? I was simply lost for words when my roommate showed me her luggage full of toilet papers because she thought there's none in Thailand and no one she knew could give her a good answer. She was a "study abroad" student from another country in the West. This happened in Hua Hin in 2002.
