Bali And Kl Still Easy To Get Toursit Visa?

Featured Replies

After Penang stopped issuing TV has KL remained easy going?

What about Bali?

If Im there should I just get one in Bali or KL which is easier?

I have quite a few stamps, visas etc.. already.

I never heard anyone talk about the bali consulate on this site and not much about KL.

I came back today from Bali where I applied for my 1 year non-immigrant O visa. I didn't see any restriction about tourist visa. If they stop issuing TV they will be bored to death and can close the consulate as no one is going there !

Also they are very friendly: the consulate was closed but they issued my visa :o Funny but true.

I got a tourist visa in KL last month - 110 ringitt per entry. Also have plenty of stamps in my passport. No probs at all. Drop off passport between 9 - 11 (or 11.30?) and pick up next day at 11 (or 11.30?).

A nice Thai touch is that you have to give your details to the guy on the gate before he gives you the visa form which you fill in with your details.

Get there as early as possible, waiting time to hand in form can be an hour and dont forget your photos and cash.

How many entries did you get?

The way you've worded it here it would seem that a person could get as many as they're willing to pay for.

Did you have any previous Tourist visas in your passport? A lot of people would be interested in finding out if they give warning stamps (as in Penang) after consecutive tourist visas.

It's a shame that we're not getting more reports from KL. You having to wait an hour to hand in your form indicates that a lot of people are still going there.

im now living in bali, but i did get a non b for thailand from bali about 6 mths ago. was simple. the guy was very nice, replied to emails, and the paperwork was processed with a minimum of fuss. a very pleasant experience all round.

I've been going to KL for tourist visas for a year and never had probs. I haven't pressed it for a multiple as I understand single is the most you'll get. Now I'm on a non-b and work permit so no more of that, but also got that issued no problem in KL. My passport is nearly full, have tons of TVs...

There have been some problems getting a second year-long non-b for WP from KL however, you have to have your WP extended and stamped for another year before they'll hand out another year visa.
