george Posted October 12, 2004 Share Posted October 12, 2004 Chickens threaten to unseat Prime Minister BANGKOK:-- Chickens have given Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra plenty to worry about recently, with outbreaks of avian flu among Thai poultry stocks threatening the country’s economy. But today chickens posed a new problem, when a hen brood of chicks waddled across the path of the prime minister’s car as his chauffeur drove him into his official Bangkok residence, Ban Phitsanulok, for a meeting, forcing the driver to brake suddenly. Although in this situation, the police escorts were unable to keep up...as were the journalists who were trailing him in order to document the incident.
