Since the "new" version of OFCS has been installed (last week), I have been unable to log in. I am aware that others are/have been in the same boat, but how many and for what reason is beyond me.

If I can get some positive (or negative) response here, I may be able to determine if it's just my aged technophobia (or equipment), or is it something inherent in the software.

You are in a minority here Jaye. I can access it but there doesn't seem to be a lot of members there.

I can access it no problem, Yorkie. I'm in there all by myself now. It looks quite strange to me though, this new version.

Bangkok Chat tells me my ISP is banned.

I've never been on there.

Go figure.

i went in there and chat with myself sometime :o

Are you talking about BangkokChat.org (accessable from the dropdown at the bottom of the page)? I can access that no problems here.

Or are you referring to another chat site?

I was on there today, no probs, but its the first time I've tried to log on to the new format.

Gotya, thanks.

No problems here. When does it get busy? (Dead right now)

Sounds like firewall issues.

If so, you need to open your firewall for outbound connections on port 8007, if that means anything to you.

As an English speaker all my life (with the exception of the first few years and the odd evening when I only speak Hungarian or even Mongolian), I am at a loss to discover the meaning of the word "inited" (as in "Java Applet inited" - or in my case "Java Applet notinited"). Perhaps anyone with a greater knowledge of other languages could enlighten me?

Chingy, nice onion mate

Now that is one way to get a good winning debate going :D

Jay,

As you know I also cannot enter live chat anymore (at home) :o

I already explained in the OFCS topic. :D

Never loaded or changed anything (wouldn't dare!)

The 2 die hard's of ofcs are OUT !!

As solidarity gesture I will not enter the chat ( at my office) as long as you cannot enter my friend! :D

inited = initiated in geekspeak.

I think the new chat page uses much more memory than the old format. I can access it but cannot do some of the stuff that I used to be able to do in background at the same time previously.

Time to trade in that Commodore Pet J
