Best Laptop For About £500 Or Less In Thailand

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I live in Koh Samui and recently broke my laptop :o I am looking to get a new one in a couple of weeks from bangkok for between £300 and £500, just wondering if anyone has seen any decent deals or has bought a particularly good laptop they would recommend???

Thanks in advance! :D

HP dv9000 series 17'' is a good deal for around 60,000. They even have decent graphics installed.

Check cnet.com... :o

Isn't that about double what he said he wanted to pay?

I'd say:

In that case, notebook is not recommended.

Just take a trip into panthip when you come to BKK. You'll find many laptops in your price range. They won't be top of the line, but for most purposes they will be just fine.

There are quite a few Notebooks around in the price range of 300 to 500 pounds.

As a guide you could try http://www.hwhinter.com/ .

Over the years I have had a number of different notebooks and have found Toshiba Satellite the best for me.

This website should help you www.tohome.com

Just go to Pantip and take a look around. Plenty of notebooks in the 20-30k range. If you're a bit technical you could get a custom built one where you pick out all the parts, with a good graphics card that could play any game out there for about 30k.

I bought a BenQ S32B at Fortune Town four weeks ago.

About 28.000 Baht.

Bargained a little bit and got additional 1 Gb RAM.

Definitely not a gamer's notebook but I am very happy so far.

Here are the specs.

Asus EEE PC, about 12,000 baht. Good in an emergency, otherwise you'll probably have to look for one 2nd hand.
