Cheap One Way Flight From Bkk To Uk Needed Asap

Featured Replies

My brothers wife was unable to catch her return light from BKK to the UK last Sunday because of a Visa Problem. This has now been resolved but China Airways, who she was flying with have told her that they will not be able to find her a seat on an alternative flight for at least a couple of weeks.

She cannot wait this long as the rest of her family is back in the UK.

She needs to book a one way flight, hopefully with the next 5 days from BKK to any UK airport. It does not need to be a direct flight.

She has found such a flight for 34000 Baht/£550 leaving tomorrow.

Is this a good deal or could she get a cheaper one elsewhere.

Good deal

Sounds very expensive to me,as this is the quiet part of the year.I paid 32000 with etihad last july for a return flight covering a 2 weeks period.Depends which airline as i find united arab emirites very expensive and not realy good quality.

Qatar are offering return flights for 1 month at 20,000 or so - throw the return away (after claiming the tax back)

Or go over to HK on air Asia and take virgin or BA cheaply on single flights

How do you claim the tax back?

34000 baht sounds a bleeding lot of money to me.

Is it possible to buy a return ticket originating from London, and only use the return part of the ticket?

Etihad one way 17.600 plus taxes

cheers

I have checked on the Etihad website and the earlist flight available at 17000 Baht is on 3rd May and it has a stopover in Abu Dhabi.

Qatar Air's one way ticket was only 22000 Baht but this would have meant having a stopover at Doha. She did not feel to happy about doing this on her own so it looks like she will be booking a direct flight from BKK to London on Saturday with Thai Airlines at a cost of 34000 Baht. Although not the cheapest, it is a direct flight on the right date and the service on Thai Airlines is very good.

Thanks to everyone for your very promp and helpful replies. This is a great Forum.

Sri Lankan, 16000 all in, and you can book on line,

Just been on the website to look at this but all of these 16000 baht flights are now shown as Full. Thanks anyway.

Do Biman still fly? I'm pretty sure they'll be the cheapest.

Their website does not show any flights from BKK to London, even with stopovers.

Sometimes they get so delayed it's quicker to walk.
