How off road do you really need it ??

I have watched this bike get re-advertised for the last 2 or 3 months.. Started at 80k now 65 with 30k recently spent.. OK the AX1 is no XR.. But its an appealing looking deal to me..

In digging out the advert theres a D tracker http://www.bahtsold.com/detail.php?id=29877

a YZF (doesnt look plated) http://www.bahtsold.com/detail.php?id=29294

Even a KTM desert special http://www.bahtsold.com/detail.php?id=29421

I hear of a lot of motarded DRZ200's and 400's brought in through Pattaya..

One advice I can give is that buying a secondhand 250cc motorcycle is maybe not the right time. Currently the Thai government change the 200cc rule to 250cc and therefore we can expect motorcycle manufacturers to introduce cheaper bikes on the market.

We can already read that Tiger is introducing a 250cc Boxer and that Kawasaki comes with the D-tracker 250. The prices of this newly introduced bikes is still maybe to high for somebody who wants to buy a nice secondhand, but the availability of cheap new bike will push down the secondhand market also.

Kawasaki D-Tracker 250

The price of the Kawasaki D-Tracker would likely be around the same as the Kawasaki Ninja 250R, but possible lower. The Kawasaki Ninja 250R will cost around 150,000 Baht (new including factory warranty)..

The person who is trying to sale a 2004 D-Tracker on BahtSold.com "For sale either non-registered at 90 000 baht, or with registration book 140 000 baht" will have a hard time to sell a 4 year old bike for 10,000 Baht less then a brand new one......

HI Guys

I dont really want to go offroad, i have my Harley for going offroad (that was a joke) just want a small bike for going around, have a Nouvo, but like a "little more" over the hills and far away.

i have seen the Kawa 250 D Tracker, a little expensive yes.

A little while ago I saw a Tiger offroad bike, not a proper motor X or trail bike, but would be good for villages with rough roads. Anyone know what this bike is?

HI Mike

How's the iphone??

I have been in touch with one of the Tornado bikes from Pattaya, i asked for copy of green book, never heard a word since.

Also something you have to be aware of, tornado is for South America market, it has drum brake on back, also it could be hard to get parts for it, and you can’t even buy it in US.

Also i got a 400cc now, could not find a good priced 250 around here.

He you are.. Thai regged and all..

http://www.thaibay.biz/auction_details.php...ction_id=100472

Do not use Thaibay tho.. Just contact siamracing (thai bays runner) and buy direct.. Thaibay is a bunch of scams and ghost auctions.. Total waste of time.

yes and owned by the owner of siam racing !

Yes I have posted in the past that they are flat out craptastic business dealings..

They list multiple ghost auctions.. When the item closes and your the high bidder they dont sell it.. When siam Racing confessed to running the site and I complained he just said 'we are listing products for other people, if they wont sell it, thats not our fault' even said go on leave bad feedback, thats not going to be permanent (meaning they control it).. Also my brother spotted products on there ripped from ebay listings. Also SR listed bikes without reserve and then refused to sell them when the auction closed, said it was staff mistake, etc...

Total and utter waste of time.
