hi friends, i am living here in Pattaya as of late and have decided to stay a good bit, and find myself in need of some costly upgrades to be comfortable here in my newly rented pad. unfortunately, only have an American Express card on me at the moment to abuse towards these ends, but i have had no luck at all finding anywhere in town that sells computers and peripherals that takes Amex! from the iStudio store over at The Avenue to the copy of ITcity at top floor of TukCom noone seems to take Amex here... different than down in Phuket, the larger outfits had no problem taking Amex, surcharge or otherwise.

can anyone give me a pointer here? i am dying for a few things and my ATM limits are not helping here, i've got a platinum card here that is worth no more than tinfoil to the merchants here, any pointers to some good stores i might not know about would be greatly welcome, new in town and don't know my way around very much to be honest, was floored when the iStudio store didn't take Amex to be honest.

lol, considering i was in the iStudio store the other day ready to make a purchase of around the equivalent of $7000 USD and was turned away i don't think i'm willing to take the hit that is charged for cash advance from Amex at those levels... just really surprised that even the larger outfits here don't take it, never had issues really down in Phuket or Bkk in this regard at the nicer places..
