Hi im from Malaysia,

My visa to stay in Thai is expiring and I wish to extend it, can I just go to Malaysia embassy in BKK to extend it? If it is allow, is there any charges? And anyone have the map for Malaysia embassy in BKK?

Thanks.

No, the validity of your visa cannot be extended. You have to get a new visa from a Thai embassy or consulate.

Maybe he means he has a tourist visa that he wants to extend.

What kind of Visa is it and how long have you been staying ?

Thanks, EmtpyMint (not so empty, I can see )

I read the OP too quickly and thought he said “Hi from Malaysia” (missing apostrophe and lower-case i instead of upper-case in “im”)

loveinbangkok, any extension of stay you want to get, you have to apply for it at an immigration office in Thailand, not from the Malaysian embassy.

As said Immigration office in Thailand.

Without knowing what you have now you will either get 30 days or 7 days.

Hi all,

Thanks for the reply, I hava a 60days tourist visa. I came to Thailand on 07 March 2008 and my visa valid until 05 May 2008. I wish to extend my stay in Thailand until 03 June. Can I get another 30days? Or it is only 7 days allow?

Should I go to immigration office in Thailand to extend it or apply a new tourist visa? not from the Malaysian embassy?

With Malaysia passport you should have received 60 days on the tourist visa, which it appears you did, and you can now extend your stay for 30 days with TM.7 form (can download from pinned useful information or obtain at Immigration) and 4x6cm photo upon payment of 1,900 baht. You go to the Immigration Office below if in Bangkok:
