I'm a little lost as a search here brought loads of threads on Thai passports but little in the way of accurate information. Same on google.

I have the link for the UK passport government site so that is ok but what about the Thai equivalent ?

Or does someone remember a thread which details exactly what we need.

Girlfriend needs to renew her passport and baby needs first passport.

Can she just get a new one or do they extend the reently expired one ?

Thanks if you can help.

Edit: sorry, should say we are in / near Bangkok.

GF should take he Thai ID card to the passport office located at the Department of Consular Affairs, on Chaeng Wattana Rd, near the old airport. Thats all you need. She'll need to get a new one as they don't extend them anymore.

Child needs to bring the Thai birth certificate and should be registered on the house registration. From memory, you'll also need your passport as proof of your ID as the father. Both parents will need to sign allowing for the child to get the passport.
