Microchip In Or Near Pattaya?

Featured Replies

I need to have my cat and dogs microchiped.

Does anybody have the name, number or address for a vet in or around Pattaya who microchips?

Thanks! :o

I guess, many do. At least, I can say for sure for Nuern Plurb Warn Animal Hospital as I saw ad saying about microchips last week there. They have vetpassports in English as well. As about vaccine - they have Fort Dodge only. If you don't know where this hospital is located, seach in this forum, there is a very detailed instruction.

Two things.. there has been a few studies that chipping your pet might be bad for its long term health, so you might want to do some research on this first. And secondly, is there a point to Chipping your pet in Thailand? Do people have the ability to scan them? If so, what system (they're not all the same).

Usually it's done not for scanning, but for papers only to export a pet later. Some countires require it. Secondly, health issues is not considered as well as when we do vaccination every year! for our pets. It's done mostly to make it possible to take them along when we travel. I will not discuss it anymore, if you're interested in the problem, look at specialized forums.

Thanks soooo much for the info guys.

I didn't know it was bad for their health.

I was doing it because we will be travelling with them back to North America. The microchip is not necessary, though - and now that I've checked into it online a bit more, I am not going to do it!

Thanks again. Whew! :o
