May 3, 200818 yr We are getting married in Chawang and were looking for a good restaraunt for 70 people for a dinner. We tried the cliff restaraount but they wanted to charge about double their normal cost and pay 30000Bht for the restaurant. Would be happy with a thai style restaurant, at a reasonable price but with good food. Doesnt need to have western influence. Does anyone have any suggestions for us?? Edited May 3, 200818 yr by HGSB
May 3, 200818 yr Where is "Chawang" ? You gotta help us out here. Do you mean the tourist drag Chaweng on Koh Samui ?

May 3, 200818 yr Hi,We are getting married at a resort just north of chaweng (koh samui) . We are looking to have a pre wedding dinner and are looking for a restaurant which could cater for 70 people. We tried the cliff restaurant but they wanted to charge us double their standad prices. Just interested in some god food at a reasonable price. It doent have to have a western influence even some good traditional thai food would be great. Has anyone got any suggestions?? BBC Restaurant in Big Buddha does a lot of functions, also if you like Thai the big newish Thai Restaurant on the Ghost road would be ok also its cheap and lots of open room, I been there many times but dont know the name.

Try along the beach front hotels on the main beach, I am sure one of them will be more than happy to accomodate you if you book well in advance. Had a great meal at a place called Banana Fansea is right on the main beach and seem to have plenty of room in the place. http://www.bananafansea.com/ Hope that helps
May 4, 200818 yr how about zico's ,they can cater for you ,and not always busy ....or perhaps'Eat Sense'......

It's called 'Rabien Thai' and it's ab fab. I love it. Thai food at it's best and very reasonable.
May 6, 200818 yr how about zico's ,they can cater for you ,and not always busy ....or perhaps'Eat Sense'...... Prego (at Amari) is nearby. Italian Food only, though (delicious). The Service is well organized and can easily cater to larger groups (which in other places might prove to be a bit of a nightmare). Marco - the chef - is the person to talk to...
May 6, 200818 yr A couple of requirements would help... The Reggae Pub opened a Restaurant recently...which seems to be fit to cater for a large group.
