Hello all you helpful people...

I'm a 27 year old American currently on a one year extension on a Non-Imm B Visa... I have to check in again "by" (maybe) May 14. I went a couple days ago (April 28 maybe?) and I was told by the lady at the information desk in Immigration that it must be done 7 days before or 7 days after the date...

Is the 7 days after true? I would prefer to do it the weekend after May 14th... but don't want someone to say "oh her? She can't speak English! It's only 7 days before silly! That will be 5,000 baht." Not that I don't usually trust Thai members of giant ill-run beuracracies... but ya know.

Also, my guide book tells me the immigration office is open on Saturdays... is this true? Will it still be true the Saturday before a holiday (May 17th)?\
