Laptop Advice?

Hi, looking for a laptop for mainly Internet use and watching TV programmes from home and for office applications. I have seen an Acer 4720z with 512 ram 120 HDD with Pentium dual core processor 21,900 in Big C - looks good to me, any others I should look at upto this price point?

Also does anyone use CDMA wireless broadband in Phuket with VOIP - what results do you get? ANy other recommendations - Thanks.

For a media-friendly and internet-friendly sub-notebook, which is maximized for portability, I recently picked up the eee PC (Asus) for a mere 12,900 Baht.

I've used it for a couple months and it has become an appendage I take everywhere (size of a large paper-back book).

I replaced the Linux-installed O/S with Windows XP to use with MS Office applications, and it works great. For serious word-processing, I bought a cheap USB mouse & larger USB keyboard--both smaller than PC-size, but easier to use than the eee PC keyboard & touch pad.

For the money you'd save, you can send me 50% of your savings for the good idea!
