The FDA in the states has urged a ban on over-the-counter cold medication for kids under 6. I think the Brits did the same.

Nevertheless, our doctor at Bangkok Hospital prescribed some for our 3 year old. I googled the medications and found them on the list of baddies. I tossed them and caught hel_l for it from the missus.

So I tried google.co.th for info in Thai, but my Thai isn't good enough to figure out what article would be appropriate.

If anybody could provide me with a link that my wife could read, I'd appreciate it.

I find that our doctor at Bangkok Hospital generally over-prescribes medication and treatment. (My wife insists on that hospital, though I haven't been all that impressed.) I'm not sure if she (the doc) is being cautious or is pressured to make a buck for the hospital, as prices are so much higher there than at our local pharmacy. Also, one time they took the baby out of the office when she had a stomach flu (probably a norovirus), when I asked where they were going, they said they were going to keep her overnight on an IV drip. They kinda forgot to ask me if that was ok! Then they offered a discount on the room. I declined, and they gave her a kind of milk of magnesia. We waited in waiting room (what else do you do there?) and an hour later she was much better.
