Tomorrow, my Thai wife is becoming a 'mairchi' (nun) for a period of 7 days, because she wishes to reflect upon some issues between us, and to try to resolve these problems. I initially suggested this course of action to her, but she has been the person to actively find a wat where she can stay.

I want to give her some information about the 5 Precepts, written in Thai. Just a simple explanation, not a book and not too complicated for her. I have explanations in English, but can someone point me to a webpage where I can print out one or 2 pages in Thai that explain about what the 5 Precepts are, why it's important to adhere to them etc.

I'd be very grateful for any help :o

As a Mae Chee she will need to observe 8 precepts though.

Thanks very much for that link!

Yes indeed, she will have to observe the 8 Precepts. I wanted to give her a summary of the 5 Precepts because these are what she should be adhering to in her everyday life, not just when she is a Mae Chee.
