Firefox 3 With Ubuntu

Featured Replies

I have just installed the latest Ubuntu on a dual boot with Win XP on my Compaq notebook.

All is well and all the devices seem to be working.

However when I view Thai Visa with Firefox 3 Beta 5 on my 1680 x 1050 screen some of the text is miniscule.

Particularly this screen where I am adding a post, or replying.

Once the post comes up with the rest it is a little bigger.

Running Firefox under Windows is much easier to read.

How can I adjust this??

I have tried playing with the settings of Edit/Preferences inside Firefox

but without success.

Thanks in advance

Back on the Windows side for a while.

It may be the fonts, rather than the size.

How to get Arial into Ubuntu??

A quick fix is to hold down your CTL key and scroll with your mouse wheel. Otherwise, I think that under Ubuntu there's a program that you can point to a Windows install and it will grab the TTF files. I know that SuSE definitely has that option.

Solved it.

The fonts in Ubuntu are cr@p.

I followed the instructions here http://warren.guy.net.au/docs/ubuntu-font-...nfiguring-fonts

and installed the Windows fonts.

All is clear and easy to read.
