Freakin Storm

Featured Replies

What a freakin storm just minutes ago. It smashed the safety glass door of our shower to the wall. Glass now broken, we hard a hard time to close all open windows....wow.

Any damage in Pattaya? :o

Here is the radar shortly before hitting the coast

And on the animated radar you can see how fast the front running over the Pattaya area:

Just had about 15 mins. of heavy rain. Now just a drizzle with thunder.

It's over here now too...just a little rain. It was a very short but intense front. As we are close to the beachfront we got the full load of gusts.

After all this was not my first thunderstorm experience in Thailand, but this one really came with full force winds, however not too much rain and only distanced flash and thunder.

Had a bit of a downpour up Khaotalo way - 19:30 to 20:00, about. Wife and I were just returning home on the m/c and got ever so slightly wet. Afterwards we had plenty of rumblings in the distance and the power dipped out for a few seconds, once. Seems to have quietened down now (21:00).

A Great rain storm. Pattaya needs the rain. I hope we get more of the same, and keeps the weather nice and cool. Yen Sabai.

Not bad in Bang Sare. The usual much later than Pattaya & more controlled . Pattaya needs a better drain system, the roads always seem to flood when it rains. On the other hand Chok Dee! Getting tired of firing up the 7 irrigation valves & hand carrying water to the other 2 rai.
