2 Killed in motorbike versus pick-up accident on Highway 331.

Police and rescue workers made their way to Highway 331 in Kow Mai Geow sub-district on Friday Morning to deal with the aftermath of a fatal road accident which claimed the lives of 2 people.

At the scene, Police inspected the crash scene and the bodies of Khun Dawan aged 33 and Khun Pongtada aged 20. Both men, from Nakhon Sawan Province, were thrown from their motorbike which collided with a pick-up truck driven by Khun Isalin aged 43 who remained at the scene and explained that the motorbike cut across him as he was travelling at speed along the Highway.

There were no independent witnesses to the crash, therefore Police arrested Khun Isalin and charged him with reckless driving causing death.

which probably means he didn't have sufficient funds available to prove his innocence :o

Condolences to the families and friends of the victims. Also, this helps explain why so many people flee--getting arrested and charged on such flimsy evidence. The police know who the guy is and can easily do a thorough investigation and then decide whether there are any charges to be made.
