Files Name Disappeared From My Documents Folder

How to I go about in restoring back the files name that shown in My Documents folder that disappeared few days ago.

How to I go about in restoring back the files name that shown in My Documents folder that disappeared few days ago.

Do you mean File Extensions - the part that comes after the "." as in Thaising.doc or Thaising.exe etc.?

If that's what has disappeared go to "My Documents" in Windows Explorer, Left Click "Tools" on the Menu Bar and "Folder Options" then "View"

Uncheck the Box "Hide extensions for known file types" then Click "Apply to All Folders"

If whole Files have disappeared you can look into your Recycle Bin, if they are not there then you will have to find someone who can restore them from your Hard Drive.
