DTV or Non O Marriage Extension?
This appeared in the Baan Thai newsletter a few days ago. There’s been many reports and social media chatter about the difficulties in opening a Thai bank account. There’s good reason for this. The Bank of Thailand, the financial institution responsible for banking regulations and compliance, has tightened the rules and increased oversight for expats opening new accounts in an effort to curb illicit banking activity such as money laundering. To qualify, you’ll need to hold a long-term visa including Non-O, Non-B, LTR or Privilege. The Bank of Thailand does not permit banks to open accounts for DTV visa holders at this time. For Non-O retirement or marriage visas, this will require your e filing for a 90-day visa overseas (best from your home country before arriving) and the using the 90-day visa to open your Thai account into which you can then wire the required funds to obtain a one-year extension. You’ll also need to establish your residence. This can include your lease or proof of ownership if, for instance, you’ve purchased a condo. Some banks are requiring a residency certificate from Immigration. For this you’ll need to present your lease, lessor’s Thai ID and TM30. It takes about 7 days for Immigration to process these requests, and please note that foreign embassies are no longer offering this service. -

As pointed out, definition confusion is what's making discussion meaningless. Read what I said above about "public debt" being defined -- by the Treasury -- as the same as national and federal debt. Thus, it incorporates intragovernmental debt. Unfortunately, Cato and Heritage have used the term public debt, believing it literally means 'public debt', and not inclusive of non public debt, like intragovernmental debt. So, the correct term to avoid confusion is "debt held by the public." So, the above quote, to be accurate, should read: "A cash flow deficit of $73 billion requires $73 billion in new debt held by the public. Thus, the money used to cover Social Security's cash flow deficits comes from new cash obtained from the public. Operative term here is "cash flow." Trust Fund IOUs are not "cash flow." Can't blame AI for getting it wrong, if definitions are il defined. This is a case where the human brain, or at least some human brains, are superior to AI in understanding the real what's what. -

any embassy (pp,saigon,hanoi<) still issue non o multiple?
Upon arrival in Thailand, the immigration officer will grant the Non-O-X visa holders the stay permit in the Kingdom for the period of not exceeding 5 years according to visa validity. thats same like 1 year visa extension and you can do in thai dont need embassy its not same non o. this i could do much easier( and less requuirments) and if 1 year or 5 year, would be the same again i not live and not stay more than 6month per year. even a quetsion is not answerd when ask immigration in person and one mail to bkk , is it leagal to stay up to 180 days on visa exempt entry . ( mail not answerd , and on immigrationby words : cant tell up to officer in charge). the last 3 time i enterd no problem but before one time problem( was ok after questoning but i said when in 10 day i go out again and come back is it ok , him said better stay thailand for no problem wooow love this answers) -
