90 Days Reporting In With O-a Multi-entry Visa

Featured Replies

just to be sure, because i get misinformation from my friend living in pattaya. i shall arrive in thailand sept 3, 2008 on a O-A retirement multi-entry visa. when do i need to report in? and where? and i need to check in every 90 days right? if i leave the country, i start that process all over again? is this the same process with a "O" visa, my friend has a "O" visa, while i have a "O-A". i am slow or old, and just want to cover my bases so i won't get tagged out. i don't want to be to be tagged out. thanks.

Dec. 3 plus or - 7 days and every 90 days thereafter.

First address report is due 90 days from arrival, or December 1st. You do that at an immigration office using form TM.47 or by mail. A new 90 day period starts on each entry. A person using an O visa only receives a 90 day permitted to stay stamp so never have to report. If they are on one year extensions of stay, as you will do later, then they do report the same as you.

thanks for your help, i realize that i am old and slow and i have to be extra careful and cross all the Ts and dot all the Is. you have been so very helpful, thank you so very much. i get a lot of misinformation from my older and slower friend living in pattaya, so i need to confirm anything he says. example, he told me that i would need to do my 90 day check-in within a week after i arrived. i didn't believe him, but you are ever in thailand while i am there, let me know and i will be glad to buy you dinner. many thanks.
