Hi Girl,

don't be shy.

Where are you from?

The traffic is very scary here, i would not dare to ride a motorbike myself, maybe in the less busy cities, even the islands can be dangerous as the mountain area is difficult to ride and many crazy people who can not ride a motor bike are on the road as well;)!

Come take a look and try!

take care

Hiya. Welcome.

I ended up in hospital for 3 days because of a massive hole in the road - no fault of my own! I'd say if you can afford a car, go for it, much safer.

ps Welcome to the forum. :o

Well, I'll be honest, I don't like to ride a motorbike either, for exactly the same reasons Sanne listed: roads can be bad and many people (including tourists) drive very badly.

But, if you don't have a choice, wear a helmet, wear clothing ,far too often I see girls wearing bikinis on motorbikes, if you have a basket, don't put anything of value in the basket (bag snatchers), drive carefully and don't assume other people will do anything sensible!

riding motorbike in bkk or big cities will be the last thing i will do. I do ride the motorbike in my hometown.. but not that often cos i dnt have the driving license :S

neway , Welcome to Thaivisa ja

Hey welcome!

I got my motorbike trauma in Pattaya, still amazed I made it out alive [really closing your eyes and hope for the best is what gives you the biggest chance on surviving!!]

I remember that on the southern islands I saw so many tourist with bandage and burningwounds :o due to drunkdriving or riding the really heavy bikes without license...and as SBK said no helmets or decent clothes!

In europe I never drive a bike but where we live here in Thailand I have to and the locals laugh everytime they see me pass [slowly, slowly!]
