non o multiple entry; extension requires:

- proof of 40k per month family income to obtain one year extension of stay.

My company pays me in Europe on an European bank.

Is a copy of my salary slip from the company enough?

Do I need a bankstatement?

Do I need to go to the ambassy for any endorsement?

Do I have to translate any copies to English/Thai?

Is an extension of stay also with multiple entries?

thanks

You are talking about a one year extension of stay - not a visa - and an extension of stay does not allow any travel so it is not multi entry (only a multi re-entry permit issued later at 3,800 baht would allow multi entry travel).

You need a letter from your Embassy as to your income. You will have to check with them as to what they require to issue such a letter.

An alternative is spouse income which requires a record of Thai tax payment.

Lop, my Non O ends on 19th July and I'd like to get the extension and a multiple entry addition before the 8th July (because I'm going back to UK for 3 weeks). Is this possible and can they both be done at the same time?

Yes. To both. Extensions are normally available any time during the last 30 days and if you have a ticket out to show should be no problem at all (even earlier is often OK in that case). You need to obtain the extension of stay first and then the re-entry permit to have it match the new date.

Be aware this thread was about family extension of stay and that is not approved on first visit so above is assuming you have retirement. If you have family you would only want a single re-entry permit for the 30 day temporary extension you get and after you get your final extension for the year you could get a multi re-entry if you planned extensive travel. You must plan to be here 30 days after submission of extension request if for family. So with a 3 week trip you need to make application during the week prior to travel.

"Extensions are normally available any time during the last 30 days "

I will leave the country for work for 2 to 3 months at a time.

Can I apply for extension of stay earlier than mentioned 30 days?

Can extension of stay and mulitipe re-entry applied for at same day?

I had a look at the website. I am from Holland. They only want the yearly income statement from my company.

No problem with that.

I am glad that there are persons like lopburi3 who knows the visa rules.

Thanks for support lopburi3! ...and other posters. :o

For family extension of stay you really need at least 30 plus days in Thailand without leaving for more than 30 days as that extension is not issued on first day of application (or renewed without delay). Until you live in Thailand the multi entry non immigrant O visa is probably the best suited for your condition. No re-entry permits required and the one visa will cover you for over a year. If you have a bank passbook showing some amount of funds in Thailand that type of visa should be available from Penang or KL with marriage certificate/copy, copy of wife ID card or passport, copy of wife home register and a short note from her asking for visa to be issued. She should sign/date the copies. Even those without bank accounts have received some times but I would take what you have (work paperwork or such) in that case.

But you can ask immigration if they can make arrangements to fit your extension request but not sure how it could be done.
