Military Riot Squad

There may be nothing in this and there could be a perfectly logical reason/ explanation, however at 3pm this afternoon, heading north on the Tollway towards the Chaeng Wattana exit, I passed an escorted convoy of three military coaches full laden with troops and they were followed by a military truck carrying riot shields etc etc. This convoy was heading into town.

How big? Can you estimate people per truck? 40?

3x40=120 would not be that many, unless there are more convoys on the way.
