So Do Bootleg Games Work On A Non-chipped 360?

I thought the answer was obviously no, the games they sell on market stalls would not work on a standard XBOX 360 purchased from England. However another user from ThaiVisa said the games would work fine? =/

You are right with your original thoughts.... Maybe the person purchased an Xbox 360 thinking it hadn't been chipped, when in fact it had. 99.9% of Xbox's sold in Thailand are pre-chipped, Thai's don't want unmodded consoles, as the cost and availability of original games is prohibative. The machine I bt in MBK seemed to play the games no problem hmmm!! I wonder why! the machine I braught back from the states wouldnt play them at all only the more expensive variety. They are both currently dead from the red ring of death, but I plan to do the 12 cent repare soon so I may have 2 machines running.
