Linksys Wag200g Disconnecting Too Often

Featured Replies

Replaced my TOT ADSL modem by a Linksys Gateway WAG200G ADSL2 modem 3 days ago, 4 port router and WAP, configured to reconnect every 30 seconds. I do experience many cuts since the replacement where sometimes the DSL light goes of but mostly just the internet connection lights gets of then turns red for some minutes until the thing manages to reconnect.

I switched back to my TOT modem earlier this afternoon ans worked fine for 1 hour, sure right now the linksys is doing fine also

Maybe I have a configuration problem?

Any ideas?

The actual telephone line from the jack out to the street is something that is worth checking. The 2 houses I have lived in in Thailand I just replaced it with new cable and reterminated.

dodgy joints , secondhand cable , electrical interferance and high humidity are all no good for signals.
