Garbage, And The Rest

Hi, to start, Goa is a garbagedump!!

Wonder how collection of garbage is in Chiang Mai. If you live in a compounded house, do they come and collect it every day, and at what cost, or do you have to throw it away somewhere on the highway like here, or do you have to burn it in your own backyard?

We are asking this because, for 3,5 years it's been affecting our lives per today. We used to live in a villa, and now in an appartmentcomplex, swimmingpool incl, but the problem is the same, the garbage is on the streets, beaches, marketplaces and where ever you choose to put your foot down. It's leaking into the groundwater and wells, the rivers and the sea as well.

This is a serious matter, because of the high risk spredding Malaria, Dengue, etc.

We are not Hypocondriacs nor hysterical, but in monsoondays that's reality for Indians as well as foreigners.

Serious times ,folks, don't you think? Not to forget the problem with stray dogs. They also became a very big healthrisk over here.

Jane likes to have her morningwalks, but she had to stop because of agressive straydogs operating in packs, looking for something to attack!

How can you compare this with reality in CM?

Thanks,

Ray & Jane
