Hi guys i am from India, just got an offer from a company in Bangkok. Its name is Plexusthai, from the Plexus Corp. It is a IT software solution company. I need conformation if this company does exist.. As they have asked me to pay a deposit, which is suspicious.

Maybe its just me having a long week, but the last time I checked Suriwong and Sukhumvit roads were different. Anyways a couple of other things strike me as odd - A) you have to pay a deposit to work for someone and B ) Why would someone from India being looking for an IT job in Thailand, I thought all the software development jobs were in India already.

Anyways mate, why not call them to see if they exist. On their website they don't list any contact details or address. Lastly, considering they are IT specialists, that is one crappy website they have put up.

Paying a deposit is quite commonplace in Thailand especially for the lower end jobs.

It is also not uncommon for someone to work in say a hairdressing salon and receive no salary for six months on the pretext that the salon is training you.

this is quite a well known scam!, do not pay any money, as even if you do ring the number, someone will answer it

I know it is quite common in India to pay someone to get a job but in reputable companies worldwide if you have to pay, then walk away.

If they want YOU then they will pay your expenses.

my sister is also working in a same company.it does exist.it is software solution company and marketing services as well. my sister is thai and they didn't ask any deposit from her.may be you are from another country thats why they ask from you.it is coomon over thailand that they ask deposit from overseas employees as they have to make your workpermit.

I am also from india. i know a little about this company as one of my client gets software support from them.so according to me i can say that company does exist and good one regarding deposit or other stuff i don't know much more. but i think it is easy. if they are asking money from india you don't send but if you have to come personally to join, you see and if satisfied you can go further for joining.

More or less convinced this company is fake... Contacted another member in the forumn, who had a similar problem last December. The company tryin to pull him in was Praxisthai ... Sounds very similar to Plexusthai...

Anyway that guy got duped off for over a lakh Indian Rupees...

Not sure what to make of the two guys who posted supportin the company though..!!!

Ill give you some idea. There website IP is pinging out of floria and the Administrative Contact is coming form the Netherlands, and there website really shit.
