Things You Don’t Like Here In Thailand?

SAY WHAT !

Recommended Posts

:D What! anything I don't like in this wonderful, marvelous, amazing country?

Where do you want me to start?

as it is not my country and I am here as a paying guest, I should not critisise. Mainly, because there are certain factions in this forum, who think this is the best country in the world, and it would provoke a load of abuse if I were to start on all the things lacking in their idyll.

But I will venture some dislikes. 1 the attitude of bikers, thinking they are invincable, the discourtesy of motorists. 2 the fact that there is no law to protect farangs. You are on your own, it's your own fault for being here. 3 double standards and racialism, Rife and accepted.

Need I say more? :o

Christ, the worst thing about the LoS is the darn foreigners. They come over here & start bitchin about what they don't like, complaining about the heat, yet find time to shag every bar girl they can get their hands on. Well if you don't like it go back to your sqalid homes, fat women & jobs back in your own countries.

The thing I dislike the most is being told by some half wit foreigner that I am not entitled to an opinion or at least if my opinion is that I find something in Thailand disagreable I should go home.

Like what the <deleted> right has anyone to tell me not to hold and express an opinion.

I pay my taxes in Thailand and I will maintain my own opinions.

I think it depends on how long you have been here. There are lots of things I dislike about Thailand as there is in my own country.

One thing I detest is farangs being PC on forums. :D

BTW - Australian winger Luke Rooney has scored a try in the last minute to beat Great Britain 12-8 in their Tri-Nations Test in Manchester.

With the game headed for an 8-8 draw, the Kangaroos set up for a field goal attempt but were forced to run the ball, with the Penrith winger diving over in the corner for the matchwinner.

Australia fought back from 8-0 down to trail 8-4 at halftime thanks to a barnstorming try to interchange forward Willie Mason right on the stroke of halftime.

Rooney levelled the match 11 minutes after the break with his first try of the match, before both teams had numerous unsuccessful field goal attempts in a bid to break the deadlock.

Martin Gleeson and winger Brian Carney were the two try-scorers for the home side.

The Kangaroos are now guaranteed a place in the Tri Nations final while Great Britain needs to win two of its three remaining games to ensure it appears in the decider at Elland Road.

Only whistleblowers; and not the kind that snitch on companies they've been fired from, but the ones that work traffic in front of department stores and offices. The men themselves are great people, just the noise they make puts me off.

I think that's about it.

There are many things I like about Thailand , however here are some things I dont like

People think that Farangs are a Goldmine to be tapped

Hot weather sometimes too hot

Dogs attacking people and Thai people are too kind to kill them , the shit all over the place and attack people, some are on a muzzle, there are about 500,000 dogs in bangkok,I love dogs, however something has to be done abt hygience

Traffice Jams unpredictable

The Few Farangs here in the news that give the impression that all Farang like them

The internet too slow (broad band not available yet in some places)

Cable TV too expensive ( satellite disk very good)

Infra structure for cable TV not ready

Roads have too many holes in them, however improvements are still being made, somone should be appointed to fill up all the holes in the roads

The streets need to be cleaned up , too much rubbish and dirty

Having said all the above comments, I believe in time these will be soon a thing of the past, as I can see some steps taken to address these problems , howver it will take time, money and effort

generally i find that the things i don't like change according to my mood. some days the noise pisses me off, some days i don't care. it has been like this everywhere i have lived - and in this country, it is also regional. there are things in the south which get up my nose sometimes, but which i forget about in bangkok because they don't exist there.

usually, if i find i am getting annoyed with a lot of things, it means i need a holiday in isaan where almost everything is just amazing. som tum boo dum......... :o:D

I dont mind the heat so much, its the humidity combined with the pollution that gets me in the cities. Down in the islands I really don't mind the H&H when the air is clean.

I can relate somewhat to parts of most of what others are saying but overlook most of it, most times, because Thailand is just such a trip!!!

And I just trip out on it!!!

If I could get over breathing it would be even better.

Oh yeah traffic. Always but if it gets that bad I hop out get a beer and a newspaper I can and make a couple of phone calls... :o

I love Thailand, but I do hate the Tuk Tuk mafia in Phuket. :o

I like the taxi drivers at Phuket Airport and recommend them to everyone. Not because they are anything special, just that they represent the first toe-hold of free and fair transport on Phuket Island.

To find the taxis, exit the airport and ignore all other offers of "taxi". Walk out of the building and across the car park. Pass about 4 or 5 rows of vehicles and you will see over to the left a big "Meter Taxi" (or maybe "Taxi Meter") sign.

Absolutely!

But in Thailand, the Truth is a slippery substance.

You have to adapt or it will always grate on you. :o
